Song title

I decided to choose the song, "She's a Maniac," from the movie Flashdance to summarize the type of person that Blanche from A Streetcar Named Desire. The instrumental parts of the song are very scattered and crazy sounding, kind of the way Blanche's personality is. You never really know how she is going to react to things. It also fits her because she really does go crazy in the end of the play.

The character that helped me understand the difference between Modernism and Post-modernism is the man from the Obsolete Man video. His character tried to show everyone around him that it's all right to think differently. The government is seen as being toward the extremes of modernism, where there is a clear right and a clear wrong way to do things. Basically, if you didn't think the way they did, you were put to death.

My name is Virginia Garrett. I am a sophomore at Clemson University and am majoring in Special Education. I am from Mt. Pleasant, SC. I live with my mom and my sister.
